Provide CPR or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies.

All Students will be enrolled with LivCor, RTO 3586 which will be responsible for the quality of training and assessment provided and for the issuing of Statements of Attainment for the units of competency on its scope.

This course applies to a wide range of settings where emergencies involving cardiac arrest may occur. It is relevant for people working in education, aged and community care, sport, travel and tourism, hospitality, industry enterprises and other workplace and community settings.

This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to handle cardiac emergency situations. It includes:
+ Introduction to first aid principles
+ Assessing a cardiac emergency situation
+ Airway and breathing management
+ Performing chest compressions
+ Administering rescue breaths
+ Resuscitation techniques
+ Using a defibrillator (AED)

This course applies to a variety of settings where life-threatening emergencies may occur. It is relevant for all people who may be required to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies using basic life support measures. It include:
